Quick fixes for small tearsFor small rips and tears, we recommend Tenacious Tape, which you can pick up from most good outdoor shops and online. It comes in a clear version, which is ideal for our reflective garments as it won&apos;t get in the way of the reflective finish, and it&apos;s waterproof and hard-wearing. How to repair a small tear1. Clean and dry the area around the tear2. Lay the item out flat on a hard surface and smooth it out3. Line up the edges of the tear as closely as you can4. Measure how much tape you need, leaving around 2.5cm of extra tape around the tear where possible5. Cut the tape to size and round off the corners with scissors, as this stops it catching and peeling up6. Peel off the backing and place the tape over the tear, pressing from the middle outwards to smooth the fabric and get rid of any air bubbles7. Leave it for 24 hours to let the adhesive fully set. After that, your kit is ready to wear again and water-resistant Bigger repairs in the UKFor anything more than a small tear, we highly recommend Lancashire Sports Repairs. They work online, so you just send your garment to them and they&apos;ll send it back once the repair&apos;s done. One keeps the rain out, the other lets sweat escape, and getting the right balance between the two is what keeps you comfortable and dry on your ride, run or commute. Waterproofing What does a waterproof rating mean?A waterproof rating tells you how much water pressure a fabric can handle before water starts to get through. It&apos;s measured in millimetres (mm), and the higher the number, the more waterproof the fabric is. What do the numbers mean?- 0 to 1,500mm: fine for light drizzle or a short trip out, but not built for heavy or long-lasting rain- 1,500 to 5,000mm: handles moderate rain, good for everyday use in mild weather- 5,000 to 10,000mm: proper protection against heavy rain and wet conditions- 10,000 to 20,000mm: serious protection for intense weather, ideal if you&apos;re out in the rain a lot- 20,000mm and above: top-level waterproofing for the wettest, most extreme conditions Breathability What is breathability?Breathability is a fabric&apos;s ability to let moisture vapour (like sweat) escape, while still keeping water out. Our size charts show body measurementsOur size charts are based on body measurements, not the measurements of the garment itself. So the sizes shown are the body measurements each size is designed to fit, rather than the size of the jacket or garment laid flat. For example, if a size Medium shows a chest range of 97&#x2013;107cm, that&apos;s the chest measurement of the person it&apos;s designed to fit. How to measure yourself- Chest: measure around the fullest part of your chest, just under your arms, keeping the tape level all the way round- Measure over a thin top rather than a thick jumper, and keep the tape snug but not tight- Each product page has its own size chart, so always check the chart for the item you&apos;re buying, as sizing can vary between products Room for layeringOur garments are designed for technical use, like cycling, running and outdoor activities, so we build in extra room for base layers or mid-layers underneath. This means the garment itself will be slightly bigger than the body measurements shown, so it stays comfortable when you&apos;re layered up. Small variations are normalAll our garments are measured by hand, so there can be small differences between items. We allow a tolerance of around 2&#x2013;3cm (about 1 inch), which is standard across clothing manufacturing and isn&apos;t a fault. We&apos;re also always improving our products, which can sometimes mean small sizing changes between production batches. We update our size charts as quickly as we can when this happens, but occasionally stock from different batches may be available at the same time.
