International Orders, Taxes and DutiesUpdated 3 months ago

For international orders, any applicable taxes and duties are calculated and collected at the checkout.

This means there should be no unexpected charges or additional fees requested by customs or the delivery courier once your order arrives in your country.

We do this to make the delivery process as smooth and transparent as possible, so you know the full cost of your order upfront.

How taxes and duties are calculated

Taxes and duties vary depending on the destination country, the value of the order, and the type of products being purchased.

At checkout, we use a system that accurately estimates these charges in real time. The total amount is then included within the shipping cost shown at checkout.

Because of this, you may notice the total cost update as you add or remove items from your basket. This is normal, as the system is recalculating the applicable taxes and duties based on the contents and value of your order.

In some cases, this calculation may take a few seconds to update, after which a full breakdown of the costs will be displayed.

Why we collect these charges upfront

By collecting taxes and duties at checkout, we ensure your order is shipped on a Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) basis.

This means all import charges are settled in advance, and your parcel should move through customs without delays or additional payments required from you.

Without this, orders can be held at customs or require payment before delivery, which often leads to delays and a poor delivery experience.

Refunds on taxes and duties

Taxes and duties are set and collected by the relevant customs authorities in your country.

Although these charges are collected at checkout, they are not retained by us and are instead passed on as part of the import process.

Because of this, taxes and duties are non-refundable through us if you choose to return your order.

Claiming taxes and duties back

In some countries, it may be possible to reclaim a portion of the taxes or duties paid when returning goods.

This process is handled directly by your local customs authority and will vary depending on your location.

As this is outside of our control, we are unable to process or assist with these claims directly. If you wish to pursue this, we recommend contacting your local customs office for guidance on the process and requirements.
